ORUSPC Summer Camp

July 14th - 17th, 2018

Meadows' Vineyard, 25700 Powerline Road, Halsey, OR

Come and be part of a tradition - Oregon Region’s Pony Club Camp! Make great memories and enjoy fabulous instruction from our talented instructors. Enjoy the peaceful ambience of Meadows Vineyard and embrace a little slice of horsey heaven for a few days this summer!

Where: Meadows Vineyard, 25700 Powerline Rd, Halsey, OR
When: Sunday July 14 - Wednesday July 17.  Haul in is on Sunday July 14 between 7am and 11am. Haul out will be after lunch on Wednesday July 17

What : Summer camp involves organized instruction in the morning and less structured unmounted activities in the afternoons such as crafts, swimming, trail rides and paddling in the creek! Evening entertainment includes a “fancy dress” (costume) competition and a talent show.

This year we are also offering a ‘camp within a camp” for our new and younger members. This is an unmounted camp starting at noon on Monday July 15 until noon on Tuesday July 16. All campers, whether mounted or unmounted, need an adult chaperone with them.

Cost - $240 for mounted camp

$50 for ‘camp within a camp” (includes meals for camper plus adult chaperone)

$40 meal plan available for parent volunteers to cover all meals during entire camp

Note: Everyone will dry camp and conditions are rustic in that there are no showers. We usually have a swimming session at the local pool which takes care of that!

Horse stabling is in outdoor corrals with metal panels - please consider if this will be suitable for your horse, any highly strung mounts that live in an ordered/indoor barn may find difficulty adapting to the camp environment.

Meadows Vineyard is not a fenced property and campers need to be able to control their mount in an open field - riding instruction is very organized with expert instructors but the terrain is open and on grass. Please bear that in mind when you sign up.

If you have a questions about whether camp is suitable for your child or their mount, please email Annie Winter at AnnieWinterrs@gmail.com.

PS Summer camp is contiguous with the Mega certification on Saturday July 13 and the Tetrathlon Rally on Thursday July 18 through Saturday July 20. Please consider signing up for all these activities as they are all at the same venue.
