UPDATE - The training level course will be MODIFIED and therefore not a qualifier for Championships. 

USPC CHAMPIONSHIPS: This rally is a qualifier for USPC Championships,  Requirements for qualifying are detailed in the 2018 USPC Handbook & Rules for Eventing Competition and 2018 Newsletter. Qualifying certifications for this rally are based on the certification of the member as of May 1st, 2018 and qualifying age is as of January 1, 2018. Note that in addition to successfully completing a USPC Eventing Rally, qualifiers for Championships have to successfully complete a USEA recognized event in the year preceding Championships. (Training level qualifiers have to have completed 2 recognized events in addition to the Eventing Rally)

RALLY RULES: The Rally is governed by the most recent USPC Handbook and Rules for Eventing Competitions and the USPC Horse Management Handbook. Please be familiar with these handbooks.  

HORSEMASTERS:  Horsemaster members will have the opportunity to participate and compete at this rally and qualify for Championships in their own division. 

TEAMS: Teams are made up of 3-4 riders and one stable manager.  Teams are allowed to be a mix of youth and horsemaster competitors.  A team of three riders is considered a "short team" and will not have the opportunity to drop a score.  See the USPC Eventing Rulebook for complete details.

        Training -- Dressage test 2018 USEF Training test B  jumps max 3’3”
        Novice -- Dressage test 2018 USEF novice test B  jumps max 2’11”
        Beginner Novice -- Dressage test 2018 USEF beginner novice test B jumps max 2’8”
        Intro -- Dressage test 2018 USEF beginner novice test B jumps max 2’0”, water optional
        Grasshopper - Dressage test 2015 USDF Intro Test B, jumps max 12”, no water, ditches, or combinations

XC COURSES: May be modified (shorter and with less jumping efforts than USEA recognized event standards). Courses may include ditches, water, banks appropriate to level (no bank, water optional for Introductory).

ARENAS/FOOTING: Dressage and stadium will be either outside, on grass, or indoor if the weather is bad . Cross country footing is grass. Cross country distances may be modified for safety.

COMPETITION AND AWARDS: This will be a team competition, using team scores for overall and horse management placement. Teams may be made up of riders from any combination of divisions. Organizers reserve the right to change or combine divisions depending on number of entries.  Ribbons will be given to all teams for the overall competition and for horse management.

HORSE ACCOMMODATIONS: Horses will be stalled in covered stalls. Each stall will be provided with one bag of shavings; competitors can buy additional shavings onsite for a cost of $8 per bag. Note: NO OUTSIDE BEDDING IS ALLOWED.

COACHES: Coaching is allowed, but not required in Eventing for all levels. Each coach must provide a signed coaching form, from the most current Eventing rule book, at the mandatory Coaches meeting.(early Saturday morning)  Coaches may NOT be chaperones.

CHAPERONES: Each team must be accompanied by a Chaperone and a signed copy of the Chaperone Form must be submitted to the show office upon arrival.  Coaches may NOT be chaperones. All Chaperones must check in with the Rally Office upon arrival. Chaperones will follow the chaperone guidelines as outlined by USPC.  A Chaperone must be 21 or older and is responsible for the conduct of those competitors in his/her charge. The Chaperone must stay on the Rally Grounds at all times during the rally competition, or must designate another adult to be responsible for the team if he/she must leave; the Rally Office must be notified of this change.

VOLUNTEERS: Each team is required to furnish a minimum of two volunteers per day who will assist at the rally.  Chaperones may also serve as volunteers. With more volunteers involved, volunteer shifts will be shorter. Volunteers will receive an online link to sign up for shifts prior to the rally.

FOOD: Oregon Horse Center has a restaurant onsite.  “The Feed Room”  will be open during the rally for breakfast and lunch. Your support of this offering is greatly encouraged.

BRIEFING: The first official Rally briefing will be a team meeting at 6:00 pm Friday evening. This meeting is open to rally competitors, officials (including Horse Management Volunteers) and parents. Parents and Chaperones may attend but are not allowed to comment. If there are questions concerning the facilities, etc., parents or chaperones may inquire at the Rally Office.

MISCELLANEOUS:
- A neutral zone will be located near the rally office for parents and participants use. 
- No smoking, no alcohol. No dogs.
 

TEAM REGISTRATION:  

Please complete one entry form per team, catch competitor or horsemaster individual.  Team registration is to be done by your DC or CA or a designated rally organizer.

Rally Chaperone Duties Form:   Each team is required to have a chaperone.  A signed copy of the chaperone form must be submitted to the show office upon arrival on the show grounds

REFUNDS:  After the closing date, no refunds will be issued. The RS may allow refunds in cases if extenuating circumstances exist.
