2008 Oregon Region Mega Rating: Entries were closed on May 7  Questions: contact Michele at rosemont@spiritone.com or 503-635-6113 The next Mega Rating will be in September. July 20 opening date, July 26 closing date, September Mega Rating. (For planning purposes, registration for the Mega Ratings will be only accepted between the opening and closing dates as listed above)

RESTEST INFORMATION FOR jULY 5-6 MEGA RATING: I know we do not want to think about anyone having to re-test for their D3, C1 or C2 rating, but just in case we have anyone who is
almost but not quite at the standard on July 5 or 6, we have arranged a re-test date for Saturday, July 26th at Nancy McKnights.

Please pencil this date in on your calendars and hope that we can all erase the date after the Mega Rating!

Again, a DC or Jt. DC from your club will need to accompany any re-testers. Having a re-test date already on the calendars with an
approved examiner lined up, we eliminate the need for re-tests with 1 or 2 candidates all over the Region!

Basic Instruction Plan 2007 Rich Text.rtf

This BIP, in addition to the who, where, when etc. of the club's instruction program, contains a "distilled" version of the policies relating to instruction, ratings, and rallies; because this document is easy to read and will be referred to more often, it functions as a frequent reminder of these important policies. Your BIP could be simpler. Use what works for your club :-)

Please note that once you have written a comprehensive BIP, it takes very little time to review it yearly and identify what you have to/want to change in the coming year, if anything.

To sum up the difference between policies, the curriculum, and the BIP: your policies explain how you run your club. The Standards of Proficiency explain what you are supposed to teach your members; they are an outline of your curriculum. Your BIP explains your plan for delivering the curriculum to your members. And lesson plans are what your instructor makes (either on paper or at least in his/her head) before each lesson, and are specific to the topic to be taught that day.

If you have any questions regarding BIP's or your club's instruction program, feel free to contact your "area RIC"
