Longeing at Rallies

If you know your horse will need to be longed, it is your responsibility to determine BEFORE THE RALLY who will do this, and to bring appropriate equipment.

Who can longe at a rally?

DO NOT arrive at the rally and THEN start trying to recruit a C3+ from some other club (who has never longed your horse before and has their own duties to cope with), and ask them to longe your horse. This would be unsafe and unfair.

Longeing will be supervised by a horse management assistant. Longeing must be done according to USPC guidelines, whether done by a competitor or adult, so make sure you have the necessary equipment including helmet, boots, and gloves.

Most rallies post a signup sheet with 15-minute slots for longeing a specified times of the rally.
